Woops, haven't been around for over a year! Weeell, hopefully I can once again use this as a base for my doodles and ego-boosters and handy procrastination device as I go through university!

I'm currently studying at the University of Canterbury to be an Engineer! Weee!

So that means 24 hours a week of lectures/tutorials/labs... on top of which they want 8 hours per paper as well... so that's 56 hours... wait, am I supposed to sleep too?

Held Dunedin's second ever Devmeet on Sunday, twas very stimulating.
~TehFeeesh Organised a photo-scavenger-hunt for us, based in the Library, around the octagon-ish area (well, if you strayed too far you wouldn't get back in time, would you? ) It was much fun.

I know I haven't been too active; school work is very much constant; if it's not an internal test it's an internal project and if you have neither of those then that means there's an external assessment practice or real one coming in the next week. :/ grr.

Sorry for the little art hiatus... it's kinda hard to find time to do arty stuff when the teachers believe that having a social life is BAD and all you need in life is homework and schoolwork @_@

I am deeply respectful of those who manage their time well enough to do both!

___________NCEA results___________

NCEA results arrived on Thursday. It took me two days to figure out that I had done abismally on them.

I was looking at the green sheets. Those tell you all your marks for the entire year. The ones you did during the year in school time (internals) and your exam marks (externals). Now, since I can't be fracked remembering the difference, I just looked at the overall and smooshed them together to see how I'd done, and that was okay.

Today I read the white sheets. Those separate exam marks from school work marks. This was following three of my friends who I thought I was around the same level at getting marks half again as good as I had. This worried me. I checked to see how I'd done in exams only and saw that I had seriously screwed up.

I only did 2/3rds as good as I should have, and that was over-all! I must have sucked VERY VERY much in exams to fall that low.

Comparing internals to exam marks, my Excellence grades dropped by 44.7%. In other words, take half of my best results and drop them back a grade. Not good. I REALLY suck at exams.

The worst change was English. From internals to externals I dropped one grade thrice and two grades once. Bad.

(For internationals, the marking is: Excellence = A, Mert = B, Achieved = C, D, E and Not Achieved = F, I think)

it was a very bad afternoon.

My family is stealing me away for a week to a holiday house in Te Anau.
Leaving: Monday 16 Jan
Returning: Sunday 22nd Jan

Said house has no wireless internet.
Said house doesn't even have a phone line.
Said house's cellphone reception is near to zilch.
Said house doesn't even have a FREEZER. Alien or food storage device!

I will return from said house on Sunday,
hopefully with a drawing or two...

will miss you all terribly!
