An old character design I thought I'd exorcise in a blatant attempt to avoid study.

The character design was for a long-forgotten idea of a fanfic based around the little-known TV series Shinzo: [link]
The harpy would be an Enterran of the Winged People class (The General of the Winged Enterrans being Rusephine [link])

Thanks for the view :)

I love the way you colored this! The shading seems spot on and the sword is amazing. I've tried numerous times to makes metal seem to shine in my pictures and always fail.

Wow, thank you very much! When I'm shading metal I usually start shading about a millimetre in from the edge of the line, to leave a sliver of white space. I usually shade from corners and always fade the shading to white. I hope that helps..

Shading a bit in from the lines also means you can go back over the shading in a different/darker colour later on right against the line and make one colour look like it's on top of the other. It's how I got the blue see-through fabric over the top of the tanned skin in [link] :)

Thanks so much for the comment!

Thank you for the tips! I'll try them first chance I get. I see what you mean with the overlaping colors, it makes it more life like and you pulled it off beautifully. Once again, thank you for the help.

As ever, jealous of your colouring skills. That and it turned out lovely from the scanner, with brilliant vibrant colours. The pose is fluid and the proportioning spot on.
